Having won their qualifying group in
February in the University of Limerick Wexford faced their bogey team
and defending champions Cork in Saturday morning’s semi-final.

It was 2 from 3 for Wexford at the
Leinster Inter-County Finals in Dublin, with provincial success for the
counties class 2 and class 3 squads, but disappointment for the class 5
side.

The 43rd Wexford player’s championship
dominated local badminton with the top players gathered in Ramsgrange
Community College for the usual assortment of hard fought victories,
unlucky losses and surprise results. |

As a memento of their visit to Wexford
the Glos«Stars manager Ian Day was presented with a beautiful painting
of the three Irish tall ships by Minister Sean Connick T.D.
