Wexford were aiming for a treble with victory in the class 3 final against northern neighbours Wicklow.   It was Wicklow who got the better start however, when they won both singles games.  Theresa Cowman overcame Tara Kehoe 12/10, 11/6 and John Curran defeated Sean Sexton 11/15, 15/11, 15/11.  Wexford fight back then began as they took the next three games in succession to edge ahead 3-2 and get to within one point of securing the title.  Noel Carton and Seamus Creane had defeated Matthew Cowman and Brendan Phelan 15/10, 15/4.  Sandra Dunne and Ailish O’Hanlon overcame Claire Davidson and Theresa Cowman 15/13, 15/8 and Mairead McDaid and Noel Carton won the opening mixed doubles 15/7, 15/10 against Aine Grace and Matthew Cowman.  That 4th point was to prove elusive however as Ailish O’Hanlon and Neil Barrett lost the 3rd  mixed doubles to Laura Hennessy and John Curran 15/5, 15/11.  Claire Davidson and Brendan Phelan then ensured it was Wicklow day when they won the 2nd mixed doubles 15/13, 15/11, against Sandra Dunne and Seamus Creane to give then a narrow 4-3 victory.
