being made with the squads and was full of praise for the work being done by
the squad members and coaches. Needless to say he was more than
willing to provide advice and coaching on both nights and hopefully we will
see again in the near future.
The

and his team of local coaches.
Thirteen of Wexford’s most promising under-age badminton stars plus

Waterford have been undergoing training in badminton techniques and technical skills
as part of the national programme undertaken by the BUI to develop the
sport.
Already
the squad can boost of having two members on Irish national teams and five
members who are part of Leinster Provincial squads.
The players compete regularly in national competitions and already
the benefits of the extra training and coaching are paying dividends with
some impressive performances from the local athletes in recent events.
National coach Bo Osomegaard has twice visited the squad to check on
the progress of the group and to pass on his considerable knowledge of the
game at international level to the players and coaches.
